A team of public health inspectors from the Urban Health Department of the Kandy Municipal Council inspected the Long Distance Bus Stand, Bogambara Bus Stand and the surrounding area, including mobile vendors, mobile vending carts and nearby commercial establishments, on 2026.03.02. Legal action is to be taken against 14 vendors in the Honorable Court for selling food in a manner that exposes them to dust and flies, in unhygienic conditions, and selling food without proper personal hygiene. Warning notices were issued to 8 other vendors.In this way, based on the festive season, such observations are scheduled to continue in various locations identified in the city.
