A special program to enhance the knowledge, attitudes and mental development of expectant mothers was held on 20th July 2026 at the E.L. Senanayake Children's Library premises, Kandy.
The resource person was Dr. Anura Arambegama, Psychiatrist and renowned Television & Radio lecturer.
The program was held at the invitation of Municipal Councillor Ms. Aruna Udeni Liyanarachchi. Deputy Mayor of Kandy Mr. Ruwan Galapitiya and a group of members from the Municipal Council also participated.
Nearly 100 expectant mothers took part in this program. At the conclusion, refreshments and valuable gift packs were presented with the sponsorship of Panda Baby company.
Mr. H.M.T. Herath, Librarian of D.S. Senanayake Public Library, together with the library staff, joined in organizing this event.
