The inaugural ceremony of the workshop series for Public Health Midwives, organized jointly by the Maternity Department of Kandy Municipal Council and Asiri Private Hospital Kandy, along with the distribution of medical equipment kits to 12 maternal clinics within the Municipal Council area, was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Chandrasiri Wijayanayaka, Mayor of Kandy.
Representing the Health Committee of Kandy Municipal Council, Municipal Councillor Mrs. Ajani Mekhala, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Indika Kumari Abeysinghe along with a group of municipal staff participated in this program. The program was coordinated by Mr. Deepal Priyadarshana, Chief Management Services Officer of the Maternity Department.
