Programs organized by the Kandy Municipal Council in conjunction with International Women's Day, which falls on March 8th The Drama Therapy Program organized by Peoples Insurance for the municipal staff on 10.03.2026 was presided over by Mayor Chandrasiri Wijeyanayake and with the participation of Municipal Commissioner Indika Kumari Abeysinghe. The tea party organized by Kandy Mist by Cinnamon for the junior municipal staff on 10.03.2026 was also held under the patronage of the Deputy Mayor of Kandy, Mr. Ruwan Galapitiya. A special film screening was held on 11.03.2026 under the patronage of Municipal Commissioner Indika Kumari Abeysinghe, sponsored by KCC Multiplex, for the junior municipal staff. All these programs were conducted under the guidance of Municipal Secretary Geethani Ekanayake with the intervention of the municipal staff.
