Batik industries employing less than 5 workers.
Commercial laundries employing less than 5 employees.
Handloom mills or knitting or embroidery industries having 10 or more looms.
Commercial coconut oil extraction industries with a production capacity of less than 200 liters per day.
Commercial grade vegetable oil extraction industries with a production capacity of less than 10 liters per day except coconut oil and ayurvedic oil extraction industries
Industries manufacturing or bottling non-alcoholic beverages with a production capacity of less than 100 liters per day
Paddy mills with dry processing processes with a production capacity of 500 kg or more per day.
Mills with a production capacity of less than 1000 kg per month.
Other tobacco-related manufacturing industries employing 10 or more and less than 25 workers.
Cinnamon fumigation industries with sulfur fumigation with input capacity of 250 kg or more per batch.
Edible salt packing and processing industries employing more than 5 workers.
Commercial tea blending/brewing industries employing more than 5 workers.
Food manufacturing or processing industries employing 5 or more and less than 10 workers.
Commercial bakery and confectionery industries with an input capacity of less than 250 kg of flour per day.
Poultry farms with 100 or more and less than 500 reared birds at any one time.
Pig or cattle farms with 05 or more and less than 10 reared animals at any one time.
Goat farms with 25 or more and less than 50 grown animals at any one time.
Mixed farms where the total number of reared animals is 100 or more and less than 500.
Areas where storage capacity is 100 cubic meters or more of fruit or vegetables or meat or other foodstuffs.

Cement Block Stone Manufacturing Industries.
Lime kilns with a production capacity of less than 20 metric tons per day.
Any industry employing more than 5 workers using "Plaster of Paris" as raw material.
Tile and brick kilns.
Industries manufacturing glassware without glass melting process.
Black stone cutting and polishing industries.
Drilling is done by blasting one bore hole at a time using explosives.
Sawmills with a sawing capacity of less than 25 cubic meters per day or wood-related industries employing 5 or more and less than 10 workers.
Industries using boron treatment for wood tanning.
Carpentry industries using multi-purpose carpentry machines.
Non-residential hotels or restaurants or banquet halls employing 5 or more and less than 10 employees or food preparation places or catering services employing 10 or more and less than 20 employees.
Hostels or similar lodges with a daily occupancy of 25 or more and less than 100 persons.
Garages engaged in the repair or maintenance of vehicles that do not carry out spray painting or repair, maintenance or installation of vehicle air conditioners.
Container terminals that do not service vehicles.
Presses and typesetting machines not involving lead melting.
Mortuaries with embalming arrangements.
Any activity/industry employing 10 or more and less than 50 workers per shift not included in Part "ඈ" of this Schedule.
Application for Environmental Protection Permit
Applications should be printed by the local government according to the form "අ" mentioned in Schedule II of the Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 1534/18 and dated 2008.02.01 as amended by Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2264/17 and dated 27.01.2022 published under the National Environmental Act.

Documents to be supplied with the application form
Ownership of land
Documents regarding release of land for industrial use if the land is owned by the government or any other body
If the land belongs to another person, the documents transferred by him for running the industry.
Documents confirming that the land is owned by the applicant
If registered as a business Business name registration certificate If not registered as a business A document attesting that the industry is operated and maintained by them ie affidavits/certificates given by Gramsevak etc.
Trade license obtained from the concerned local authority.
A copy of the approved building plan.
In addition any additional document deemed necessary by the local authority.
